i want a life of my own

i came across this really inspiring quote. indeed, i ask for a change in my life. a good change. as we will always end up comparing ourselves with others, and it’s gonna go on and on, never going to stop. everyone is different in their own way, so there’s no point being envious or jealous of other people. i’ve a life of my own and i’m gonna live it for myself.

What I go to Ikea for

i went to Ikea with Ade last monday in search of a christmas tree, but to no avail. so Ade and i kinda roamed around this big furniture store and we had two hotdogs! i feel that it’s a bliss to be able to hang out with this awesome girl. (:

and i actually do have quite some stuffs to update but i simply have no time! but most probably, i’m gonna update again later. Saturday duty tomorrow. nobody will be in the co, except me, me and myself. ugh.

P.S again: I hate zits, and I really wish they will hate me as much as i do.

the day i went to the shipyard

one of the activities in the schedule of the AIS students, was to visit the shipyard in Tuas. so we brought our coveralls, safety googles and helmets, and off we head to the shipyard.

it rained kinda heavily that day. but we were all covered up, so no worries at all. instead we all sweated, cuz it was very stuffy in there. it was another great experience. in actual fact, i’ve never been to Tuas.

now that the AIS students’ one week work experience is over, i’m gonna miss the days they were here with us. they’ve been a great help and a great source of entertainment, especially Mitchell. tee hee. i’m gonna go back to the old routine again.

we went to the jetty two days ago to witness the testing of the vessel. unfortunately we weren’t lucky that day. but no matter what, it was still a great experience.

wind down party part one

the day i’ve been anticipating has finally arrived. wind down party! but i’m kinda pissed during the afternoon, cuz i’ve way too much stuffs to do, but things got better at night. i drank a couple cans of beer, and some cooked food. then we all snapped pictures crazily, beside the christmas tree, the stairs and everywhere of the co. until we got really exhausted of smiling, laughing and posing. to be honest, the best part was when we all hung out in the office itself. one word, fun.

we waited for Chris to finish up his work so that we all can go for some decent dinner. so upon waiting, Ade, KW and me keep ourselves entertained by snapping shots and hanging out at the accounts dept. Rene joined us and off we went to Changi Village for some awesome dishes. Rik dropped by later, and omg, seriously i’m so full that i can’t really breathe properly! you can imagine how full i was. it was another awesome day today. how i wish every day is an amazing day, just like today.

today’s Rik’s birthday and he treated the whole co. donuts. ahhh, i had my oreo donut, ock fish fillet and honey red tea as my lunch and off for a badminton game with Sam and Arthur later at night. my whole right arm is so sore right now, and i bet i can’t finish that Microsoft Word thing by tomorrow cuz my arm hurts like shit. but awesome day by the way. (:

tomorrow’s my co.’s wind down party. there’ll be food and beer, and what’s best is that i’ll stop working at 5pm! and i’ll sit down and relax, chill it out with my colleagues. so looking forward.
